Reactions –
- S + O2 → SO2
- SO2 + ½O2 → SO3
- SO3 + H2O → H2 SO4
- Liquid Sulphur tri-oxide & oleum 25% & 65% can be produce from same plant.
- Production of chloro – Sulphonic Acid can be incorporated in same plant.
- Tail gas scrubber is provided to take care of start-up SO2.
- Acid cooler with air cooling can be offered where adequate water is not available.
